“Demand better, vote together: The Ontario we deserve”: CUPE Ontario Convention 2022

“We are not alone,” said Fred Hahn, CUPE Ontario president, during the convention video that kicked off our virtual convention. “We are part of a growing majority. Now is the time to be hopeful and not let up. Let’s demand better and vote together for the Ontario we deserve.”

Our second virtual convention, our 58th convention in our union’s history, isn’t ideally how we wanted to gather, delegates. We all would rather be in person together. But, in keeping with our theme – “Demand better, vote together: The Ontario we deserve” – we are a resilient and resourceful union. We continue to find ways to come together and to mobilize to demand the changes we deserve.
