The CUPE Ontario University Workers Coordinating Committee (OUWCC) advocates for and raises awareness of disabilities within our union, workplaces, and communities. The committee is currently accepting applications to fill the following six (6) vacancies:
- Vice-Chair (1)
- Health & Safety Rep (1)
- Campus Rep – Laurentian (1)
- Campus Rep – Queen’s (1)
- Campus Rep – Trent (1)
- Campus Rep – Toronto Metropolitan University (1)
Please note that workers applying to be a campus rep at Laurentian, Queen’s, TMU, or Trent must currently be working at that campus. Further, workers looking to apply for the Health & Safety Rep position must have relevant experience.
Vacancies can be appointed. Those with interest can put their name forward by April 5, 2023.
Participation in the CUPE Ontario University Workers Coordinating Committee (OUWCC) entails attending at least three (3) meetings a year at the call of the Chair, and conducting business referred to the committee by the OUWCC Conference.
As per CUPE Ontario policies, costs or expenses incurred are covered by CUPE Ontario for our Committee members, including time away from work, travel or mileage, accommodation if needed, parking, and a per diem.
