On Sunday, May 1, 2022, the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) will host a province-wide day of action for a workers-first agenda.

May 1st is the date of May Day, the international workers’ holiday. This year, May Day falls on the eve of the Ontario election, scheduled for June 2.

During its biennial convention in November 2021, the OFL voted overwhelmingly to mobilize for May Day 2022 as part of its Action Plan to fight for and win a workers-first agenda in Ontario, and to defeat Doug Ford’s anti-worker government in the provincial election.

More than 900 delegates from all the OFL’s 54 affiliates participated in the Convention, and endorsed the Action Plan to kick Ford out of office.

The OFL is organizing actions on May 1 in multiple locations across the province. On May 1 in Toronto, a mass rally will begin at Queen’s Park at 2:00 p.m.

CUPE Ontario is mobilizing to support the OFL and take back our province.

Every action you take in the list below will earn you tickets in a digital draw to win a brand new Ipad! So the more actions you take, the higher your chances of winning. We will announce the winner before the end of the Convention. Good luck!
