Strike ends as workers ratify new contract at Lanark Community Living
Carleton Place, ON – A ten week long strike at the Community Living Association Lanark County formally ended Thursday September 09, when workers voted to ratify a new two year contract.
Front line staff at the Community Living agency, members of CUPE Local 1521.02, gathered at the Independent Grocery in Carleton Place to hear a detailed report on the terms and conditions of a proposed two year collective agreement, following which workers voted to accept the deal and formally end the strike that began July 04th.More….
