TORONTO, Ont. – Mark Ferguson, president of Toronto Civic Employees Union Local 416 CUPE; Ann Dembinski, president of CUPE Local 79, and their respective negotiating committees are meeting with city negotiators and provincially-appointed mediators today to attempt a resolution to the current strike.

 

The locals continue to face concessions demands from the city that present a barrier to achieving agreements.

 

The union has not scheduled media briefings for today and the local presidents will not be available for one-on-one interviews.
