The Federal government is once again trying to put Canada up for sale; our public services, environmental protection, jobs, food security and culture are all at risk. Free trade agreements have made a significant impact on all our lives yet, there is often little that we know in advance about pending trade deals.

Right now in fact, the Federal government is in discussion with the European Union for a new free trade deal that threatens public services, jobs, food, culture and much more.

To help all of us better understand the proposed European Union free trade agreement, CUPE Ontario is working with the Trade Justice Coalition to let the public know what’s at risk. Two public forums, one in Ottawa, April 19, and then in Toronto on April 21, have been oganised and all members are encouraged to attend.
