TORONTO, Ont. – Fred Hahn, president of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, the province’s largest union, and hundreds of CUPE members will take the bus to Sudbury today, riding from Toronto, Guelph, the Niagara Peninsula and communities across the north to join Sudbury nickel miners in a “Bridging-the-gap” solidarity march.
   
The Sudbury workers and their colleagues in Port Colborne, members of the United Steelworkers, were forced on strike eight months ago by the multinational nickel company Vale Inco.
