Save Windsor 311!

Windsor’s 311 operators are the friendly, knowledgeable voices that help residents connect with vital services every day. They know our streets, neighbourhoods, and communities – because they live here.

Now, Windsor’s city council wants to outsource 311 to a private company or replace these workers with artificial intelligence.

That means that when you need help and call 311, you may not be talking to a neighbour but to someone who’s never set foot in our city at all.

Outsourcing will mean:

  • Less reliable service for residents
  • The loss of good, unionized jobs
  • Tax dollars leaving Windsor instead of supporting our local economy

City Council should be protecting good public jobs and ensuring residents continue to receive the highest-quality service — from real people who know and care about Windsor.

Now is the time to act.

Sign the petition to stop the outsourcing of Windsor’s 311.

Tell City Council: when we call 311, we want to speak with someone who knows our city.

Subject: Keep Windsor 311 public and local

Email: Dear Mayor Dilkens and members of Windsor City Council,

I live in Windsor and rely on Windsor city services. I am writing to express my strong opposition to your plans to outsource Windsor 311.

Windsor’s 311 operators are proud, skilled, unionized public workers who know our city. Replacing them with private contractors or artificial intelligence will weaken city services and make it harder for residents to get help. When I call 311, I want to speak with someone who knows my city – not an operator in a call centre or an AI bot.

City Council should be supporting good, local, public jobs. More than ever, we need to protect Windsor’s economy.

I urge you to keep 311 public and local so protect Windsor jobs and ensure residents have the highest quality public services.
