I am writing to you as the elected leaders on the Essex County Council. Libraries are an important part of our community. We need our libraries back.
We know the library workers want to go back to work and re-open the libraries. Thousands of residents have called, emailed, petitioned, and put up lawn signs to ask you to open our libraries. But it appears that you are continuing to ignore your constituents.
You were elected to represent what is best for the people of Essex County. Your job is to find real solutions to make library services available again to our community.
Please move off your sick time position that has caused the strike and do what it takes to open our libraries.
