This year’s conference will open with a one-day Racial Justice Conference, followed by the Human Rights Conference which will center on themes addressed in CUPE Ontario’s 2015 action plan. The conference will focus an equality lens on austerity, cuts to public services, privatization (including Hydro One) and the attack on unions and how to mobilize against them.
You will learn how equality groups and allies can work together to stand up for fairness and fight for justice by integrating equality into all the work of the union and keeping Employment Equity on the agenda.
Allies are encouraged and welcome to attend.
IMPORTANT: Delegates to this conference will elect the following CUPE Ontario committees for the next two years:
- Aboriginal Council
- Racial Justice
- Pink Triangle
- Young Workers
- Workers With Disabilities
