CUPE Local 2974 – Library Workers for Essex County have been on strike since June 25.
They are fighting deep concessions, including the claw back of more than half of their existing sick time.
Members are holding strong. But after months on the picket lines, they need our help now more than ever.
That’s why we’re holding a Solidarity Rally and Food Drive for CUPE 2974 on Saturday, November 26 from noon – 1:00 pm Outside Essex County Library – Kingsville Branch (40 Main St W, Kingsville, ON N9Y 1H3, Canada).
Make sure to bring donations for CUPE 2974’s food bank & holiday donations or financial contributions for the striking workers. There are no families with babies, so formula and diapers are not needed.
