Frontline Windsor Library workers are facing a possible lockout/strike because management halted bargaining and triggered a countdown to a possible service shutdown by March 24. CUPE Local 2067.1 wants to achieve a fair contract and continue providing important services and keep Windsor Libraries open.

Local 2067.1 is urging the Board of Directors to lead by example and demonstrate why they won the Public Library Board of the Year award by paving the way for management to return to the bargaining table with a respectable and conciliatory attitude and bargain to reach a fair collective agreement.

Parties are scheduled for mediation on March 23rd, 2016, with a lock out or strike deadline of March 24th, 2016 at 12:01 a.m.
