The members of CUPE Local 1600 are on strike to protect job security at the Toronto Zoo, which is owned by the City of Toronto.

On Tuesday, May 16, join striking CUPE 1600 members for a solidarity rally and information picket at Toronto City Hall. Together, we’ll call on Mayor John Tory and Toronto City Councillors to get the Zoo to come back to the table to negotiate a fair contract that protects good jobs.

WHERE: Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West.

WHO: Striking CUPE 1600 members, labour and community allies, and YOU!

WHY: To support striking CUPE 1600 members, and urge Mayor John Tory and City Councillors to get zoo management back to the bargaining table.
