ST. Catharines, ON – A tentative agreement was reached on Sunday morning between CUPE 4207 and Brock University, following a marathon bargaining session with the help of a provincial mediator.
“In round-the-clock negotiations with Brock’s administration, we were able to conclude a tentative contract for our ESL instructors,” said Dan Crow, president of CUPE 4207.
The 60 members of Unit 3 of CUPE 4207 will review and vote on the tentative contract on Wednesday evening, averting a possible strike that would have impacted international students enrolled in ESL programs at Brock.
