Please join Fred Hahn, President of CUPE Ontario, and Libby Davies, NDP MP for Vancouver East, for a very special Toronto-Danforth NDP meeting to nominate MP Craig Scott for re-election.
He is currently the only openly gay MP in all of Ontario and a strong advocate for LGBTQ rights.
This is also an opportunity to thank Libby who’s retiring after 18 years as an MP. She has been such an effective champion of LGBTQ rights at the federal level, while also being a strong voice for workers, public services and equality for all. Libby became the first female Canadian Member of Parliament to reveal that she was in a same-sex relationship.
