Scrap the EI Changes. We need Real Improvements!
Community and labour groups across Canada are starting to organize. Rallies will also be held in Montreal and Fredericton on November 15.
Harper’s damaging EI changes will hurt many people. Especially those in part-time or temp jobs and those who get laid off during slow periods.
And especially women, workers of colour, immigrants, migrants and young adults. One of the new rules means most claimants are expected to take a job paying 20 to 30% less – after only 6 weeks of layoff. Instead, we need real improvements: better EI access and better benefits for all.
Together, we can make a difference.
