There will be a federal by-election in the riding of Toronto Centre on November 25 and we have an opportunity to get a great labour-friendly candidate elected. The attack on labour by the Federal Conservatives and the qualities of NDP candidate Linda McQuaig makes this by-election an especially important one. We are fortunate to have Linda, a well known progressive journalist and activist, running. This is a great opportunity for us to get a strong supporter of labour elected to the House of Commons. To this end, CUPE Ontario is busy lining up volunteers to help out on Linda’s campaign and we are hoping you can also help out.
The following are some of the dates we are organizing CUPE Canvasses for:
Saturday, November 16 11:00 AM
Sunday, November 17 1:00 PM
Monday, November 18 4:00 PM
Tuesday, November 19 4:00 PM
