As elected officials representing the Region it is time for you to take responsibility for the CUPE Local 966 impasses and direct your negotiations team to negotiate a fair deal without concessions.
A fair deal without concessions was provided to other employees, both union and non-union, in the Region of Peel.
Members of Local 966 are residents, tax payers, shoppers and voters in your constituency.
It’s time to show the same respect for all workers in Peel.
Local 966 employees in Ontario Works, Public Works and Transhelp deserve to be treated the same as other employees working for one of the wealthiest regions in Canada.
