Dancing With Rage Banner

Notice: The March 8th date has been postponed.  Stay tuned for a new date

The official International Women’s Day date is March 8. To mark the occasion this year, CUPE Ontario is sponsoring a performance of Mary Walsh’s new play, Dancing With Rage, on Thursday, March 8th.  The show promises to “navigate the rage brought on by pop culture, politics and capitalism”.

Walsh is widely known and loved for her work on This Hour Has 22 Minutes and other TV and movie productions.  She is perhaps most famously known as the politician-skewering Warrior Princess, Marg Delahunty.  Most recently, the Warrior Princess stirred up Toronto Mayor Rob Ford when Walsh arrived at his home early in the morning to grill him on why he was hiding from the media while trying to cut city services.

Mayor Ford didn’t get the joke – and ended up calling 911.

Come out and join us on Thursday at the Theatre Passe Muraille at 16 Ryerson Ave. in Toronto (near Bathurst and Queen).  Click here for directions.
