MP-Scarborough–Rouge River – Ontario
Rathika is actively involved with the Canadian Federation of Students as both a national and provincial representative.
At Carleton University, she served as the Vice President Internal Affairs for the Carleton University Students’ Association, Chair of the New University Government Caucus, and Operations Manager for the Rideau River Residence Association.
At Queen’s University, Rathika worked with the Service Employees’ International Union on the Justice 4 Janitors Campaign as both a volunteer and a researcher.
Rathika has worked with the Ontario Labour Relations Board as a Labour Relations Conciliator. |

MP-Dartmouth-Cole Harbour – Nova Scotia
Robert Chisholm is probably best known for leading the Nova Scotia NDP from four to 19 seats in the 1998 provincial election.
Says Chisholm: For me, public service is a passion and a personal responsibility. I feel obliged to speak up on behalf of others whose voices might otherwise be lost so that fairness, respect and cooperation can be woven into the fabric of our society.

MP-Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie – Quebec
Alexandre Boulerice, a communications representative for CUPE-Quebec, is the NDP MP-Elect for Montreal’s riding of RosemontLa Petite-Patrie. His main concerns are job creation, cultural issues, immigrant integration, global warming, scientific research, affordable housing and public transportation.
Boulerice previously worked as a journalist with LCN and TVA before moving on to the Union des travailleurs et travailleuses accidentés de Montréal.

MP-Laval-Les Iles – Quebec
François was born in Laval in 1958.
He has been a permanent employee of the City of Laval since 1987 and he has occupied several union functions in his union during that time.
He was Vice President of CUPE-SCFP Local 4545 from 1999 to 2006.
Father of two children, François also has two grandchildren. He is a founding member of l’Association des Pilon d’Amérique and is currently its vice-president. |
