G8/G20 Protest, June 18 27
The Group of 8 world Leaders and the Group of 20 Leaders are meeting in Ontario from June 25-27, 2010. And we need to get organized to send a message that privatization, trade liberalization and this economic system of greed is not working.
The actions and policies of the G8 and its member-states have made significant impact on millions of people around the world; this meeting in Toronto provides a unique opportunity for the community and labour to come together to educate, empower and ignite positive change to achieve a kind of world that we want and desperately need.
Join CUPE Ontario and members of the Toronto Community Mobilization Network, a group of grassroots community organizers, and their allies building a community mobilization leading up to and during the G8/G20 summit – 25-27 June 2010.
The days of action will be led by community-based organizations of people of color, indigenous peoples, women, the poor, the working class, queer and trans people and disabled people.

We are organizing to support mobilizations for global justice movements, with events, creative actions and mass demonstrations already planned for:
self-determination for indigenous peoples
climate and environmental justice
income equity and community control over resources
migrant justice and an end to war and occupation
gender justice and queer and disability rights
