LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON – After a 15 hour marathon bargaining session, CUPE 2150, representing 64 municipal workers, secured a tentative agreement with Loyalist Township, just after midnight last night.

“We’ve reached a tentative deal with the employer that will allow our members to continue to provide services for our community,” said Alex Scott, president of CUPE 2150. “I want to thank all our members and residents for their support and encouragement throughout this process.”

CUPE 2150 members will hold a membership and ratification meeting to review and discuss the tentative agreement next week. Details of the tentative contract will not be released until the membership has had a chance to vote on the agreement.
