Join us for a free screening of HIGHWAY OF TEARS, which tells the story of missing and murdered indigenous women.
The film shows how generational poverty and systemic racism have contributed to this problem, and how First Nations leaders are advocating for change.
The screening will be followed by a discussion moderated by MP Craig Scott with the following panelists:
- MP Niki Ashton, the NDP’s Aboriginal Affairs Critic
- Darlene King, of Native Women’s Resource Centre
- Matt Smiley, the film’s director
