Stop Toronto Budget Cuts

December 5th, 2011:

The 2012 Toronto budget proposed by Mayor Rob Ford contains over $88 million in cuts to programs that address the inequities faced by children, seniors and other vulnerable Torontonians.


A 9.8% cut was proposed to the Community Partnership Investment Program (CPIP), which provides funding to various community services, health programs, housing supports and arts & culture programs.

We need people to make deputations!

Depute to City Councillors on December 7 & 8, 2011 from 9:30am to 9:30 pm at City Hall about how the proposed 2012 Budget will impact city residents. Participate in the Public Hearings on the budget and speak out about the value of programs delivered through city funding. Prepare to speak for 2-5 minutes on the value of the programs you have benefited from & tell your story.
