Canada is now the lowest spender on early childhood education and care of any Organization of Economic Development (OEDC) country. It ranks at the very bottom of international assessments around access and quality. We need a national child care plan to be part of any vision of Canada’s future. Help raise the issue by:

• Raising child care issues at all-candidates’ meetings and when candidates come to your door (see Election Flyer)
• Protesting the lack of child care progress at demonstrations when Stephen Harper makes a campaign appearance in your community

Poster Your Town!
Help make child care THE election issue

Code Blue for Child Care is working throughout the federal election period to put the child care issue in front of every candidate.

They’ve developed the poster “Put child care within reach this federal election”. The goal is to get the poster displayed in cities, communities and ridings right across the country.
Here’s how you can help:

• Download the poster below
• Print as many copies as you can on YELLOW PAPER
• Poster your town at home and where you work- get the poster in store windows, on cars, at community agencies, health centres, early learning centres etc
• Flyer your workplaces

Let’s let every candidate across Canada know that child care is an issue at the heart of this federal election.
