Carleton Place

, Ont. – Bargaining between the CommunityLivingAssociation-LanarkCounty and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) 1521.02 will resume this morning, Friday, August 21.

CUPE 1521.02 represents 90 workers at the Lanark agency, on strike since early July for a settlement in line with other community living agencies, including a pension plan that other workers in the sector have.

The union has been encouraging the employer to return to the bargaining table and is pleased that bargaining will continue.
