Child Care and Youth Camp: If you are attending convention with your child and your child has special needs, we encourage you to contact us so that we can discuss how we can provide support for your child’s care during Convention. Please contact our convention coordinator Katheryne Schulz at 416-299-9739 x 305 or email her at [email protected].
Today (April 24th) was the deadline for registering for the child care program and youth camp at this year’s convention. We set the deadline so that organizers can plan staffing and program. However, this year we are extending the deadline to May 1st because we want to ensure that members with children have every opportunity to participate in their convention. If you haven’t got your forms in yet, please get them in ASAP. If you have any questions, please contact Katheryne Schulz. Forms are available on our website at cupe.on.ca. Click on the convention box.
Access Requests: Reminder that today (April 24) is the deadline for access requests for members requiring accommodation for special needs. We set the deadline so that organizers can contact each person who makes a request and make the appropriate arrangements. However, this year we are extending the deadline to May 1st because we want to ensure that members have every opportunity to participate in their convention. Small Local Subsidies: Reminder that the deadline for small locals (less than 100 members) to apply for convention subsidy is Friday May 1, 2009. Forms are also available on our website at cupe.on.ca.
