CUPE 3902, representing student and post-doctoral fellow TAs, course
instructors, and invigilators at the University of Toronto, has been
in bargaining for a new collective agreement with the University of
Toronto since July 2008. The union is pleased to announce that on
January 29, 2009 we reached a tentative settlement with the employer.
The union bargaining team will unanimously recommend the settlement
for ratification at a membership meeting on February 2, where members
will decide whether to open a ratification vote. If members opt to
hold a ratification vote, polling will be initiated on February 2 and
continue on February 3 and 4.
