Peterborough, Ont. – A tentative agreement has been reached between the City of Peterborough and ‘outside’ municipal workers, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), averting a strike that would have impacted key municipal services.

“We are pleased to have reached a tentative deal,” said Phil Jacobs, president of CUPE 504. Details of the tentative agreement will not be released until CUPE 504 members review and vote on the new contract in a ratification vote on Tuesday evening.
