WINDSOR – A tentative agreement has been reached to end a strike by faculty members and librarians at the University of Windsor.

The deal was reached late last night following two days of meetings with a provincial mediator.

No details of the agreement will be revealed until after a ratification vote scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

The deal must also be approved by the university board of governors.

The strike by more than 1,000 faculty members began Sept. 17 and has curtailed classes for more than 15,000 students.
