It is a time to act in a concrete way to fight homophobia in our workplace, our classrooms and in our community. This day of silence organized by members of the Ryerson community is observed to echo the silence that lesbian, gay, bisexual, two-spirited and queer or questioning people face every day.

On this day we ask you to consider your actions, and inactions, your assumptions and prejudices.

Doesn’t everyone deserve dignity, equality and respect regardless of what their sexual orientation is?

It’s time to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY & EDUCATE YOURSELF TO STOP HOMOPHOBIA.

The responsibility lies with each of us to build community and end hate. So come out and join in this silent picket happening on Friday May 16 at Dundas Square. Please wear black t-shirts.
