TORONTO, ON – Fred Hahn, president of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, will join with members of more than 20 labour and community groups Saturday for a mass picket opposing Conservative plans to cut Canada Post services.

“Finance Minister Joe Oliver and Prime Minister Harper know that Canadians value public postal services. They’re allowing door-to-door services to be cut without any regard for accessibility – for what it means for seniors and people with disabilities,” said Hahn. “These service cuts are unnecessary and will only serve to weaken an important public service that people rely on.”
