LONDON, Ont. – Food service workers at Western University reached a tentative agreement with the university’s management yesterday evening, said the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), representing 600 workers who serve students, faculty, staff and visitors at the university campus.

Details of the agreement will not be discussed until it has been presented to members of CUPE 2692 for a ratification vote.

“If this agreement is approved by our members, students and their families, faculty and staff will be able to enjoy the delicious food, experience the same warmth and efficient service that our food service workers are known for on the Western campus come September,” said CUPE National Representative Fred Blake.
