Strong support as Bonfield strike passes 100-day mark

At their membership meeting on Monday, November 11, Local 905 members voted unanimously to donate $10,000 to sisters and brothers in Bonfield (Local 4616-2), who were forced into a defensive strike on August 1. The support is a welcome addition to support received from CUPE Ontario and many other locals.

Last week, the strike passed the 100-day mark. The mayor of Bonfield seems intent on breaking the union, something we must not let happen and we encourage other locals to donate as much as they can and to show support by joining the picket line.
