WINDSOR, – A tentative contract agreement has been reached in talks to revolve the month-long strike by nearly 300 workers at the University of Windsor.

The skilled trades and professional staffers are members of Local 1393 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees.

The tentative agreement follows four days of marathon negotiations.

If ratified during a vote that`s scheduled for Wednesday, the workers could be back on the job by the end of the week.

The union says its members walked out on September 8th after the University refused to drop demands for concessions that would have affected their job security.

Details of the tentative deal will not be released before the ratification vote.
