TORONTO, ON – Fred Hahn, president of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, will be going door-to-door with CUPE members on Monday in support of Ottawa South NDP Candidate Bronwyn Funiciello.

“Bronwyn Funiciello is the right person to represent Ottawa South,” says Hahn. “She has strong links to this community, where she has been elected time after time as a school board trustee. She understands the importance of putting people first and standing up for fairness. She is filled with integrity, strength of character and a sincerity that will serve the people of Ottawa South well at Queen’s Park.

Hahn will be canvassing together with CUPE members beginning 2:00 p.m. on Monday and is available for interviews.

“In this election, I’m encouraging people to vote for what they want,” said Hahn. “People in Ottawa South believe in fairness, and on August 1st they’ll demonstrate that by electing Bronwyn Funiciello.”

CUPE is Ontario’s community union, with more than 240,000 members providing quality public services across the province. CUPE Ontario members are proud to work in social services, health care, municipalities, school boards and universities.
