TORONTO, Ont. – CUPE Local 416, in cooperation with Councillor Glen DeBaermaker, will co-host a series of family-oriented movie nights every Friday in July.

To provide a community entertainment experience and showcase Toronto’s parks (which are cared for by CUPE Local 416 members), Councillor DeBaermaker and CUPE Local 416 will offer these free movie nights in city parks across Scarborough. All residents need to bring with them to enjoy a movie is a lawn chair or a blanket. Local 416 will also provide unlimited free snow cones to children of all ages!

The movies, times and parks are as follows:

 
Movie: “PUSS IN BOOTS”
Date:  Friday, July 6, 2012
Location: Cedargrove Park, 100 Fernbrook Road (NE of Bellamy and Nelson)
Time:   9:00 p.m.

Movie: “A LITTLE PRINCESS”
Date:  Friday, July 13, 2012
Location: St. Andrews Park, 60 Brimorton Drive (Just East of Brimley)
Time:   9:00 p.m.

Movie: “TOY STORY 3”
Date:  Friday, July 20, 2012

Location: Knob Hill Park, 25 Seminole Avenue (Just East of Brimley)

Time:   9:00 p.m.

Movie: “UP”
Date:  Friday, July 27, 2012
Location: Lusted Park, 75 Painted Post Drive (NE of Bellamy and Lawrence)
