There is a new way to “have a heart” this Valentine’s Day – and help make life better for aboriginal children across Canada.

The First Nations Family & Child Caring Society of Canada has launched a campaign to encourage Canadians to give First Nations children the same chance to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and proud of their cultures.

The Society is calling for equitable access to government services such as child welfare, as well as safe and comfortable schools and equitable education.

Their demands are simple, and its shameful that aboriginal people even have to fight for the same levels of services and opportunities that most Canadians take for granted.

The campaign encourages people to write their Member of Parliament as well as the Prime Minister to keep the pressure on.
