TORONTO – Fred Hahn, President of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, and union members will be joining Bramalea-Gore-Malton NDP Candidate Jagmeet Singh for a special CUPE canvass tomorrow, Saturday, October 1.


The canvass is being organized in the wake of new poll results showing that Jagmeet Singh is poised to make a historic breakthrough and become the first New Democrat ever elected in Mississauga or Brampton.


“Jagmeet is on the verge of a massive breakthrough, and we want to show our support,” says Hahn. “This is a riding where every vote really does count. We’ve believed in Jagmeet all through the campaign and are really excited that he will likely be the next MPP for Bramalea-Gore-Malton.”


Earlier today, the Ontario Federation of Labour released poll results for Bramalea-Gore-Malton:

NDP: 34%

Liberal: 32%

PC: 25%

Green: 5%
