TORONTO, ON – On Sunday, September 25, Fred Hahn, President of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, will join lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Torontonians in a special Queer & Trans Canvass for Jonah Schein, NDP candidate in Davenport.

“My Toronto neighbourhood is, for the most part, a wonderful, open and caring place to live. And Ontario has made some important strides toward fully accepting and respecting lesbians, gays, bisexuals and trans people. But there’s still a lot of work to do, and the queer communities need people at Queen’s Park who will stand up for our rights. On Sunday, we will come together in support of one candidate who will do just that,” Hahn said of his decision to participate.

Hahn will be joined by Davenport residents and community activists Roy Mitchell and Denise Benson. Canvassers are asked to meet at the campaign office at 993 Bloor Street West at 10:30 a.m.
