ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – CUPE 4207, representing over 850 academic workers at Brock University, reached a tentative agreement with the university, averting a strike that would have affected students during the start of final exams.

“It has been a long bargaining process but we are glad we’ve reached a deal,” said Dan Crow, CUPE 4207 president.  Details of the deal, reached past the midnight deadline, will
not be released until both parties ratify the tentative agreement.
