“The Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) published a poll last week that showed overwhelming support across all party lines for paid sick days, because people understand that it’s long past time that we have permanent employer-paid sick days.
Instead this program subsidizes Loblaws and Amazon and many other corporations that are making huge profits. We are already paying part of their hydro bills and now we’re going to be playing something that they should have been providing for workers already and that’s paid sick leave.”
