GREETINGS BROTHERS AND SISTERS!
This notice will serve as a reminder that the Ontario Municipal Employees Coordinating Committee (OMECC) will be holding its annual conference in London Ontario from March 25th to the 28th.
If you have not received your package of information please contact Laura Lesko [email protected] and she will ensure that you receive the documentation in time for the conference.
The committee feels that it is extremely important at this point in time that the Municipal locals attend this very important conference as the theme this year is The Power to Prevent Privatization. We all know too well that employers are contracting out and privatizing our jobs! We need to fight back and this conference will help locals develop strategies and options.
The committee also wishes to notify its members that we will be holding elections for the following positions: Injured Worker representative, Health and Safety representative as well as three (3) area representatives due to resignations.
We need representatives for the following areas:
Area 1. District of Kenora, Rainy River and Thunder Bay
Area 7. District of Parry Sound, Muskoka, simcoe, Grey Bruce and Dufferin
Area 8. Cities of Hamilton, Haldimand, Norfolk and the Region of Niagara
