Dear Editor: The ramifications of Bill 115 continue to affect public support workers. This cleverly named “Putting Students First Act” is, in reality, an attempt to erase the deficit.

At the local school board where I have worked for seven years as a custodian, Bill 115 has already given the employer the power to increase my workload by 10 per cent within the same time constraints.

In the past, these kinds of changes have always been negotiated with the union.

Bill 115 is an attack on working class people. The only option is to protest.

This fight belongs to everyone! The assault on our union is only the harsh beginning of an attack on the rights of all Ontarians. I’m a young, female worker and a union activist. I ask you to join in defending public support workers.
