Ontario Budget 2012 – Take Action
Resist austerity!
The Drummond Report proposed a dangerous austerity agenda that would kill thousands of good jobs and put the brakes on Ontario’s economic recovery. Here are ways you can resist austerity and press the government for a budget that will build the economy and put Ontario back to work:
- Contact your local District Council and participate in local events

- Call or email your MPP: Let them know you oppose the austerity agenda, that you don’t want the government to follow Drummond’s dangerous path, and that you will vote for an MPP who supports good jobs and a strong economy.

- Write to and call your local media: People need to know how the Drummond cuts would affect you and your community. As you read about the cuts, think about how they will affect you, your family, your community, the people you help through your work, or Ontario more broadly. CUPE Ontario rejects the austerity agenda and favours a budget that will build the economy and create good jobs.
