SUDBURY, Ont. – Local 4705 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), representing 1400 municipal workers with the City of Greater Sudbury, reached a tentative agreement early this morning, following marathon talks over the weekend.

“A tentative agreement was concluded early this morning,” said CUPE 4705 president Steve Speck. “We are now making arrangements for our members to vote on the tentative contract.”

Details of the agreement will not be discussed until it has been reviewed and ratified by CUPE 4705 members.
