Summer library programs are critical to the community and Mississauga Library Systems' refusal to return to the bargaining table is robbing kids, seniors and new immigrants of programs and resources they rely on.\n\nI am writing to you as an elected member of the Mississauga City Council. Libraries are an important part of summer for families in our city. We need our libraries back.\n\nWe believe that our libraries should be providing good jobs not exploiting part-time and precarious workers. We are asking you to get back to the table and bargain a fair deal.\n\nWe know the library workers want to go back to work. You are elected to represent what is best for the people of Mississauga. Shutting down library programs while kids are out of school is not what is best for the community.\n\nPlease direct the Mississauga Library Systems to do their job and do what it takes to resolve this strike so we can get back to using the library.\n\nSincerely,
