Whitby, ON –<\/strong> La biblioth\u00e8que de Whitby a franchi une \u00e9tape importante hier soir en concluant sa premi\u00e8re entente de principe avec la section locale 53 du SCFP, qui repr\u00e9sente les travailleurs municipaux employ\u00e9s par la Ville de Whitby. Cette r\u00e9alisation suit de pr\u00e8s la r\u00e9solution par la section locale 53 du SCFP d’une gr\u00e8ve qui a pris fin le 15 novembre, apr\u00e8s avoir dur\u00e9 plus d’un mois.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous sommes ravis du r\u00e9sultat et fiers de l’effort de collaboration qui nous a permis d’en arriver l\u00e0, \u00bb d\u00e9clare Rob Radford, pr\u00e9sident de la section locale 53 du SCFP. \u00ab Le succ\u00e8s de cette n\u00e9gociation souligne notre engagement \u00e0 favoriser des relations de travail positives et \u00e0 assurer le bien-\u00eatre des travailleurs de la communaut\u00e9 de Whitby. \u00bb <\/p>\n

La ratification par les deux parties est pr\u00e9vue pour la mi-d\u00e9cembre.<\/p>\n

La section locale 53 du SCFP s’est maintenant \u00e9tendue \u00e0 quatre unit\u00e9s, repr\u00e9sentant collectivement plus de 500 travailleurs \u00e0 temps plein et \u00e0 temps partiel dans la Ville de Whitby et la Ville d’Uxbridge, l’unit\u00e9 de la biblioth\u00e8que \u00e9tant compos\u00e9e de 60 travailleurs.<\/p>\n
