Elle nous a appel\u00e9s sur les lignes de front d\u2019une crise de sant\u00e9 publique sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent et a temporairement, bien que dramatiquement, chang\u00e9 notre monde.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est pourquoi, le 25 mars, le SCFP-Ontario a envoy\u00e9 une lettre au conseil d\u2019administration de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de promotion d\u2019OMERS demandant le report du vote qu\u2019il pr\u00e9voit tenir en juin sur le retrait de l\u2019indexation garantie du r\u00e9gime de retraite.<\/p>\n<p>Malheureusement, le SCFP-Ontario a \u00e9t\u00e9 inform\u00e9 qu\u2019OMERS a encore l\u2019intention d\u2019aller de l\u2019avant avec le vote, en juin, malgr\u00e9 une crise de sant\u00e9 publique sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent \u00e0 laquelle nous sommes tous confront\u00e9s, crise qui nous occupe l\u00e9gitimement tous.<\/p>\n<p>Nous croyons que c\u2019est inacceptable.<\/p>\n<p>Les membres qui cotisent \u00e0 OMERS ont le droit de savoir que les changements au r\u00e9gime, qui pourraient \u00e9liminer des prestations de retraite futures, ne seront pas impos\u00e9s pendant une crise de sant\u00e9 publique sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent.<\/p>\n<p>Le moins qu\u2019OMERS devrait faire c\u2019est de voir \u00e0 ce que les membres du r\u00e9gime, les promoteurs et les membres du conseil d\u2019administration de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de promotion lui-m\u00eame puissent communiquer, discuter et d\u00e9battre enti\u00e8rement de cette proposition.<\/p>\n<p>En raison de la crise de la COVID-19, cela ne peut pas se faire.
