On Tuesday, June 26 at 6:30pm an important town hall call for CUPE Ontario university sector members will take place to update folks on changes to the Jointly Sponsored Pension Plan (JSPP) and what the new government means for our pensions.
Every local in the university sector should be on the call whether they are currently JSPP or not.
The Ford Conservatives have threatened to eliminate all defined benefit pension plans and convert them to defined contribution plans.
We need a strategy to defend our pensions and mobilize towards a plan for the whole sector.
